December 31st, 2005 - New Years at Aura. "Arctic Chill." Pendulum's Nicole Pearson performed throughout the evening, seen overhead in the hoop or with her image projected on a screen doing contortion. The evening was topped off with a truly transcendent performance in aerial silks.

December 2nd, 2005 - Pendulum's youth company "The Pendulum Flyers," ages 12-17, performed for the annual Holiday Market held at The French American International School in Portland Oregon.

November 30th, 2005- World Forestry Center's O' Tannebaum II - Joy to the world! event. Suzanne Kenney first appeared from within her cocoon of white fabric as if an illusion to perform her signature piece "The Diva's Descent." For dessert was a performance by Nicole Pearson clad as a quintessential flapper, seamlessly entangling herself in red fabric with grace and elegance to an awestruck audience.

November 8th, 2005- Pendulum's Nicole Pearson performs at The Portland Art Museum Mark Building Grand Reopening for Cindy Thompson Special Events.

October 29th, 2005 - "Wet Nose Soiree." Dove Lewis Masquerade Ball gala fundraiser, held at the Governor Hotel in downtown Portland featured performances by Pendulum company member Nicole Pearson, and guest artist appearing for Pendulum Donna Offinger.

September 18th, 2005 - Pendulum presented an unplugged evening of "Off the Edge of your seat" acts and a rare opportunity to see a wide variety of high caliber aerialists in an intimate setting- all in one night.

This one-night-only event was held at the French American School in Portland, Oregon and featured such artists as:

September 17th, 2005 - Pendulum hosted auditions for the Northwest's premiere Cabaret,"Teatro Zinzanni". Associate Director Reenie Duff came to Portland, as Director Kenney brought together 10 of the finest aerialists from around the globe who performed 7 minute acts to vie for this prestigious contract!! Stay tuned for next audition date!

September 13th, 2005 - Pendulum appeared On Fox Channel 12- Good Day Oregon with host Drew Carney.

September 9th, 10th, 11th, 2005 - A 3 day Aerial Intensive workshop was held in Pendulum's rehearsal space. Classes were taught by guest artists such as Andrew Adams & Erika Gilfether of Chicago, Illinois who taught straps, Adagio and juggling. Also on faculty for the weekend was aerialist Joe Pinzon from Los Angeles, California, teaching dance Trapeze and tissu.

June 20th-24th, 2005 - Artistic Director Suzanne Kenney and Company member Laura Stokes traveled to Arroyo Grande, California to teach for a week and perform in an Arts & Cultural Enrichment Camp.

June 11th, 17th, 21st, 2005 - Filmmaker Emily Roland's video excerpt of Pendulum's performance of The Crimson Cabaret and the music of Sasha Lazard was aired on Portland Community Media in June.

June 7th, 2005 - Nike's Think, Act, Win Triumph Pan Asia closing party was held at Machine Works in Portland, Oregon. Pendulum was seen from overhead on rope and fabric as "Go Go"dancers!!

May 13th, 2005- Pendulum performed at OMSI's "Sim Sala Bim Gala" event during the cocktail hour. Pendulum company members Laura Stokes appeared as a parasol clad contortionist and Joshua Martinez performed "Moi" a powerful floor piece by guest choreographer Mary Hunt.

May 13th, 2005- Pendulum aerialists, together with guest artists from around the world, performed in The Crimson Cabaret, a passionate tribute to an era past, when Parisian cafes were draped in sensual beauty, humor, and joi de vivre.

Directed by Suzanne Kenney and co-created with guest artist Fabio Dorea of Brazil, Crimson Cabaret delighted with dream-like aerial flight, trapeze duets, jazz dance, contortionism, and hilarious parodies of drunken revelers. Long-time collaborator with Pendulum, songstress Sasha Lazard, hailing from New York, drew the audience into the ambiance with her luxurious lyrical stylings.

February 20th-25th, 2005 - Suzanne Kenney and guest artist Fabio Dorea taught a week long course in beginning aerial dance to students ranging in age from 7 to 16 years of age. The week culminated in a memorable performance by the students.

February 10th and 11th, 2005 - Pendulum Aerial Arts and Pendulum's youth aerialists "Les Enfants d'Icare" performed two shows for the Oregon Episcopal school and a student body of 500! Performances included pieces by OES Students Lia Dawley and Brain Siperstien, both students of the school and apprentices for Pendulum. Also on the program were performances by the company and guest aerialist Nicole Pearson of Bristol, England.

 

:: 2004 ::

December 5, 2004 - Pendulum appeared for The Mazama Group's Annual Holiday Party held at the Portland Museum. The renaissance themed event found Pendulum costumed as Pages, Jesters and contortionists performing throughout the evening.

November 20, 2004 - Pendulum performed at the private event held at Portland's City Hall :: Very, Very, VERA - A Celebration to Honor Mayor Vera Katz. Pendulum's aerial performance was seen from 3 floors above the crowd.

November 6, 2004 - An elegant evening of dinner, dancing and international culture was held at the Waverley Country Club. Pendulum's Laura Stokes gave a solo contortion performance.

October 15-28, 04- Internationally acclaimed Brazilian artist Fabio Dorea of Montreal, Canada paid a visit to Pendulum. During his stay a collaboration was established with Ms. Kenney, the pair beginning the creation of a evocative duet which they will premiere in Pendulum's "CRIMSON CABARET".

Pendulum was selected to participate in the Pacific Northwest RDDI Dance Lab in Seattle, Washington in August 2004.

On July 31, 2004 Pendulum appeared at Hollywood's Famed Kodak Theatre for Asia Entertainment. Back by popular demand, Artistic Director Suzanne Kenney was commissioned to choreograph and perform once again for Asia Entertainment and created an all-star cast, composed of some of the most talented aerialists from around the globe.

Featured Pendulum aerialists included Suzanne Kenney, Luis Torres, Laura Stokes. Special guest artists Mark Lopez (former principal of San Francisco Ballet) partnered with Shalene Eve, Canadian Aerialists Anahareo White- Malone (on hoop), Genevieve Landry (still trapeze and hand balancing), and Joesph Pinzon Corde de Lisse.

On May 22, 2004, Pendulum appeared as special guest for The Yoshida Groups Annual Party for 400 guests. Pendulum appeared along side the # 1 Elvis impersonator for a wild night of fun and entertainment at Junkies Wild Card Casino.

On May 15-16, 2004, Pendulum presented Les Enfants d’Icare, an evening of aerial dance performed by students of Pendulum's aerial movement classes.

Director Suzanne Kenney choreographed and performed in Asia Entertainment's #43 Music Video at the Flint Theatre San Jose, California on March 11-16, 2004. The piece allowed for the realization of a long time artistic vision of Ms. Kenney's: incorporating dancer's on pointe with Pendulum's signature aerial ballet's. Guest Artist Shalene Eve assisted Ms. Kenney and choreographed the ballet on the floor. Gary Franco, hot off a tour of Broadway’s smash hit "Contact and Prima Ballerina Lisa Gillespie", also appeared with Pendulum as a guest artist.
